Noise is a collection of moments of restlessness, pixelation and visual sound. It is a tribute to collecting, to letting go of the urge to organize and learning to love the ‚balagan‘.
It tells of everyday turbulence, the aesthetics of fluff, the straightness of the bent, the sculpture in the railing, the pain in repetition, the asymmetrical isosceles, the locked open, the muted warn and the joy of visually hearing.
Noise is based on a found footage and includes analog photographs mainly taken during a semester abroad in Israel.
Noise ist eine Sammlung von Momenten der Unruhe, des Verpixeln und Rauschens. Es ist eine Hommage an das Sammeln, an das Loslassen des Ordnungsdrangs und dem Liebenlernen des ‚balagan‘.
Es erzählt von der alltäglichen Turbulenz, der Ästhetik des Fussels, der Geradlinigkeit des Gebogenen, der Skulptur im Geländer, dem Schmerz in der Wiederholung, der asymmetrischen Gleichschenklichkeit, dem gesperrten Öffnen, dem lauten Leise und der Freude am visuellen Hören.
Noise ist ausgehend von einem gefundenen Foto entstanden und beinhaltet analoge Fotografien, welche in Israel und Deutschland entstanden sind.
